Nil by Mouth is proud to announce the launch of the charity's new Vision, Purpose, Aims and Values. These core principles provide a platform from which the campaign can build on its achievements and continue to play a leading role in the development of initiatives to challenge Sectarianism in Scottish society.
Nil by Mouth is committed to a Scotland free from Sectarianism
Nil by Mouth will promote the elimination of Sectarian attitudes and behaviours in Scotland with a view to the advancement of greater understanding and respect.
- Campaign for greater recognition of the damage caused by Sectarianism and promote positive change
- Work with legislation and policy developers to support the eradication of Sectarian attitudes. language and behaviour
- Develop, promote and deliver education and training to promote good relations and challenge Sectarian attitudes, language and behaviour
- Provide support and resources for individuals and organisations to challenge Sectarianism

Mutual respect is the foundation of healthy and safe communities We value the role education plays in promoting respect between individuals and communities. Through education we encourage and seek to inspire others to accept and promote anti-Sectarian values.

Nil by Mouth encourage everyone to embrace the right of all to their own faith and belief without harm to others.
Since the launch of Nil by Mouth in 2000, the charity has developed positive links with the education, public and voluntary sectors to promote action to free our society from religious bigotry.
Nil by Mouth develops and delivers workshops and training programmes as well as resources to support and encourage educators and young people to challenge Sectarianism in communities across Scotland. The campaign continues to be deeply involved in the growing anti-Sectarian education movement.
In working with the media, Nil by Mouth has given a strong, independent voice to the campaign to free Scotland from Sectarianism. We have raised the level of discussion and debate nationwide by engaging with local and national media, distributing publicity materials and contributing to a wide range of events.
Through lobbying and partnerships with policymakers Nil by Mouth has played a vital role in promoting research and action to challenge Sectarianism throughout Scottish society, particularly in the areas of education, football, parades, criminal justice and employment.
