CASE STUDY: MORGAN SINDALL

In 2022, major UK construction firm, Morgan Sindall, reached out to us through their social impact team. What began as a one-off training session for a group of apprentices quickly developed into a meaningful, ongoing partnership.

This initial workshop delivered was so well received that the company invited us to deliver additional sessions to site staff and project managers involved in a large public sector infrastructure project. They also asked if we could engage with local schools connected to the site, supporting positive community relationships ahead of a significant school merger. We were able to bring three schools on board - none of which had previously been involved in anti-sectarian work.

From there, the partnership grew. The company supported our education work by sponsoring ‘Pitch Perfect’ which sees over 100 students participate in a marketing competition, creating and designing their own awareness campaign and gaining the opportunity to partner with charity experts to promote their concept. The company also helped expand the reach of our educational school materials by promoting the ‘Neeps and Tatties’ project distributing books across their networks, both internally and promoting via platforms like LinkedIn which led to new schools engaging with the charity.

In early 2024, the company invited us to work in areas where they were delivering infrastructure projects, which allowed us to work in schools across multiple local authorities.  Most recently, Morgan Sindall supported a special schools event held in the Borders, where pupils from across the region and both denominational and non-denominational schools, came together to enjoy performances by award-winning children’s authors Alan Windram and Vivian French. We continue to offer training and advice to the business through working with each new cohort of apprentices including our ‘Pause B4U Post’ module which helps employees consider the potential impact of posting online abuse for both their own employment and their employers reputation.

This successful partnership shows what is possible when businesses genuinely invest in social impact. From supporting staff development to strengthening community ties, our workplace programme helps organisations meet their social responsibility goals while making a meaningful difference on the ground. Our partnership with Morgan Sindall continues to grow, with additional training for both apprentices and staff scheduled — reinforcing a shared commitment to inclusion, education, and long-term impact.
